The Mapleton Education Foundation supports students in Mapleton Public Schools, located in Adams County (north metro Denver), Colorado. As of 2016, the District served over 6,200 students (not including those enrolled in the District’s online school, which serves students statewide). Foundation investments impact every Mapleton student.
In Mapleton, 69 percent of students receive free or reduced lunch and 41 percent are learning English as a second language. Of the Foundation’s postsecondary scholarship winners, 81 percent are the first generation in their family to attend college.
The Foundation makes postsecondary and opportunity scholarship awards to Mapleton students, as well as program grants to teachers, teacher teams, extra-curricular programs, and co-curricular programs. It also makes investments in District programs, such as fieldwork and experiential learning, literacy and science. Students are the ultimate beneficiaries of all Foundation investments.
